The theme for our Seniors Lunch Program in May is Bring a Friend! Catch up over savoury menu items like beef pot pie, fish ‘n’ chips with ‘slaw and Monte Cristo sandwiches, and wind down with dessert and coffee. Due to unexpected changes to the staff team, beginning April 14 the Seniors Lunch Program will be limited to providing meals from Monday to Thursday. Instructor Spotlight: Mohammad Reza Atashzad

Watercolour artist Mohammad Reza Atashzad never goes anywhere without his painting supplies. “My life is filled with paintings that reflect my memorable experiences [see Marine Building and Sound of Glory paintings below, l-r]. We are excited to announce a new blog page dedicated to showcase Recipes from Betty’s Kitchen. For those who are not familiar with our Seniors’ Lunch Program, more than 27,000 Society-subsidized lunches were served at our Seniors Centre before Covid-19. On average about 100 meals were served each day, 6-days a week. Kerrisdale Senior Singers 1970-2020

50th Anniversary! The Choir in 1970 was a small group of Seniors who loved to sing. The Seniors Centre did not exist so they practiced in the main Kerrisdale Community Centre under the direction of Dorothy Harford and Pianist, Irene Hope.
