As the Kerrisdale Community Centre Society approaches its 80th anniversary in 2023, we’ll be bringing you nuggets of history, snippets of where we are today and anniversary updates. Trivia tidbit: Though you’ve likely walked by this 42nd Ave. entrance plaque (above) many times, you still might not know that the centre occupies the site of the early-1900s Point Grey Municipal Hall – a handsome multi-gabled Tudor Revival building that once stood on the edge of the local budding business district.

Plan for a perfect season with our Fall 2022 program guide – available online and in print (pick up a copy at the centre). As the community centre returns to full operations, we’re excited to bring back much of our original programming and roster of instructions. Additionally, new programs for fall include My First Dance Class (preschoolers), Awesome KPOP/Asian Pop/Hip Hop Open (children), Adventurous Parent & Tot/ Stroller KPOP (adults) and Carpet Bowling (seniors). Get carried away with arias and more at the next Opera Zone! Held this Sunday, August 7, from 2-4 p.m. in the Seniors Centre Multipurpose Room. Please register prior to the event, either by phone (604-257-8100) or online. And an Opera Zone Program Card is required at the door ($10 annual fee or $5 to drop in).
