Birthday Parties at the Kerrisdale Community Centre

September-June
When: Saturdays, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. OR Sundays, 2-4 p.m.
Who: Children ages 1-10 years

July-August
When: Saturdays and Sundays, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Who: Children ages 1-10 years

Party Packages and Pricing:

  • $200 for up to 12 children
  • $255 for 13-24 children

Note: Due to online registration limitations, only one price option is displayed. If booking for a larger group, please contact the centre to upgrade. The maximum capacity is 50 people total.


Parties include:
  • Party leader for two hours to assist with supervision, setup and cleanup. They will email booked families two weeks before the event to confirm details. 
  • Auditorium and Room 109:

  • Room 109 includes tables with tablecloths and:
  • Access to kitchen equipped with stove and oven (for heating purpose only), microwave and fridge/freezer;
  • Extra time for setup and cleanup: 30 minutes before and after the two-hour party (three hours total).

Registration and Refunds:

  • Register by phone, in-person, or online.
  • Cancellations and date changes require 14 days’ notice.
  • A $5 service fee applies to all refunds and transfers.
  • Upgrade requests (to 24 children) or downgrade requests (to 12 children) must be made at least seven days in advance. After that deadline, we are unable to accommodate any changes.
 

Important Notes:

  • Families are responsible for bringing food, any additional supplies, and assisting with final cleanup of the room.
  • The party leader will email booked families two weeks before the event to confirm details.

OPTION #1: PUBLIC PARTY

These parties are held during the regular Play Palace operating hours and include use of a designated party area. The party areas can accommodate a maximum of 20 children. Note that the Play Palace area will be shared by other party and drop-in users.

Fees include guests’ admission to the Play Palace.

OPTION #2: PRIVATE PARTY

A private party gives your group of up to 100 guests exclusive use of the whole Play Palace facility, admission for all your guests, and two staff to assist with setup / cleanup, and monitoring of the play equipment.

Things to know before you book a Play Palace Party:

  • Children must meet height requirements:
    • Height requirements vary depending on the inflatable
  • All children MUST wear socks in the Play Palace area
  • Parent participation is mandatory. Staff are responsible only for ensuring that equipment is available and safe to operate
  • We provide tables and chairs and a leader to supervise equipment
  • We provide 30 minutes before and after each party for setup and clean-up. Party area MUST be vacated within 15 minutes of the end of your booking
  • Long-sleeve shirts are recommended
  • Adults are not allowed on any of the inflatable equipment
  • We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items

Booking Procedures:

  • All bookings are on a first-come, first-served basis
  • All party bookings can be completed online at kerrisdalecc.com if you have a Vancouver Park Board online account
  • Phone 604-257-8121 to arrange to book your party at the arena
  • Full payment is required to confirm your party booking
  • Cancellations require 21 days’ notice; there will be a $10 administration fee for approved refunds
