Next Opera Zone: June 7
Enjoy opera arias, pop music, art songs, a Chinese ballad and Elvis hits at the next Opera Zone! Don’t miss this all-ages event on Sunday, June 7, 2-4 p.m., in the Seniors Multipurpose Room. A $20 annual registration fee is required to attend Opera Zone performances to the year or pay $6 to drop in. Register by phone (604-257-8100) or in person at the centre’s front desk.

On the heels of introducing new personal trainer KJ Johal last month, we’re pleased to profile another new KCC trainer – Jonathan Brian Tanuwijaya. Growing up in Indonesia, he now lives near Kerrisdale and looks forward to helping clients build fitness habits they can carry into everyday life. Q: What is your favourite thing about being a personal trainer?A: I enjoy seeing clients realize they are stronger and more capable than they thought, not just physically but mentally as well.
