More Openings, More Options
The Kerrisdale Community Centre continues to rise to the challenges of running the Centre during the Covid-19 pandemic. When possible, we have modified activities to respond to these challenges.
As summer approaches, British Columbia looks forward to an easing of some of the health orders that have restricted the use of the Centre. The Board of Directors and Community Centre staff are working together to offer the community a range of options. This summer the Society is offering a selection of both in-person and online programming.
The sessions in the Kerrisdale Exercise Room have increased to one hour per session.
Our online programming continues to offer patrons a variety of options. To see what programs are available online visit our website under Programs & Registration .
The Seniors’ facility is currently closed to patrons as Vancouver Coastal Health is using this section for a vaccination clinic. We are planning to re-open this area in September.
The Arena will be used for the summer day-camps. By having a dedicated inside space we are able to accommodate more children in this activity.
If you are used to seeing a blank wall in the West Boulevard face of the auditorium…. Kerrsidale Community Centre has a brand new face! Using our new logo colours, four large size colourful murals have been installed – each with images of people engaged in activities which are offered by the Kerrisdale Community Centre. Installation of these murals is result of 2 years collaborative efforts of Park Board and Kerrisdale Community Centre Society to upgrade the West Boulevard entrance of the Centre and to make the KCC more prominent and engaging for the community. Come and check it out!
