Opera Zone All Ages
Enjoy an afternoon of listening to arias sung by Gerard Satamian and others, accompanied by a piano. A $10 annual registration fee is required to attend Opera Zone performances for the year. You will be asked at the door to show your registration card or pay a $5/drop-in.

Christmas in Brass
Enjoy an afternoon with VCC’s large brass ensemble. Hear this 20 member ensemble of trumpets, horns, trombones, euphoniums and tuba perform a wide variety of music composed or arranged for brass. Part of the concert will feature a selection of seasonal carols, so bring your best singing voice to join in or simply sit back and enjoy.

Learn about all of our Winter volunteering opportunities and work with staff and other volunteers making a safe and fun community. We will play some games and discuss volunteering opportunities at the centre and around the city. Note: due to the large interest, not all attendees will be guaranteed volunteer shifts. Chinese New Year Celebration Dance/Cake 55+ yrs
Learn the history, customs, and tradition behind the celebration of the Chinese New Year Festival. Instructor Jessica Yue will first perform Chinese Fan, Ribbon, Handkerchief, Drum Classic dance, doing some basic dances with Chinese New Year music on the chair with children and families just hand movement and show you how to make sesame balls or baked rice cake also known as “New Year Cake”. You’ll get a chance to sample each of the sesame balls or New Year Cakes as well.
