Event Description:

It’s about the movment & freedom of self expression while learning some basic brain healthy drum rhythms. We all have the innate ability to find our natural rhythm through letting go to our body?s intuitive intelligence. Connecting to the beat of the drum is as easy as feeling your own heart beat. Drumming is like having a uniquedialogue through sound and rhythm with each other as well as with the self as each hemisphere of the brain becomes activated. Every week a rhythm is taught and we practice together integrating it gently and slowly. Gradually we can find ourselves in a state of ease and flow with the rhythm as it integrates within. Thenthere?s also the time to just let loose and ?Jam? allowing the rhythms to take us where they will without any set agenda. There are so many wonderful self discoveries with drumming as a meditative practice as well as the contagious joy and playfulness of making music with others in our community circle. Absolute Beginners and experienced toe tappers are welcome. Experienced drummers are welcome to lead a session. Drop in?s with no pre registration required at this time.
