Arbutus Greenway Update & Public Consultation
The Arbutus Greenway is a future north-south transportation corridor that will connect False Creek to the Fraser River.
The future Arbutus Greenway will encourage people to travel by foot and bike, and ultimately streetcar, and improve access to public green space.
Temporary Pathway
In the short term, the City is constructing a temporary pathway from Fir Street to Milton Street that everyone can enjoy. The City is looking at several different types of hard-surface materials, especially those that improve safety and accessibility.
What’s Happening
Come to a public workshop to learn about the different temporary pathway options and share your thoughts:
- Saturday, September 17, 1-3 pm at the False Creek Community Centre
- Wednesday, September 21, 7-9 pm at the Coast Vancouver Airport Hotel
- Thursday, September 22, 7-9 pm at the Kerrisdale Community Centre
These meetings are public but space is limited. If you plan to attend a workshop, please RSVP: arbutus-greenway.eventbrite.ca. The same material will be covered at each session.
This is the beginning of a broader conversation on the future Arbutus Greenway.
Look for more opportunities to get involved, starting in late fall 2016.
