Heather Hughes got her start in fitness with an unexpected awakening; after holding a desk job for a number of years someone snapped a photo of her and she was shocked at how much weight she’d put on. She was rescued by a personal trainer who taught her how to use food as fuel for exercise and improved not only her quality of life, but boosted her self confidence as well. Eager to share her knowledge and passion for fitness, she welcomed the chance to make a career change into the fitness industry and help people the same way she was helped before. She went on to compete as a figure athlete and then to train both bodybuilders and other figure athletes for competition, but her true passion lies in helping people restore movement and teach them that a healthy lifestyle can be it’s own reward. For more info on her certifications, please see Personal Trainer page.
